The frequency range they transmit at is set by the FCC, so that hasn't changed. And if anything, the phones are more powerful now than they were even five years ago.

This is something I've always wanted to research . . . but it has sat on the back burner for a long time. Has technological advances improved over the years to make the waves less potentially harmful? Is that even possible? I'm not a scientist, so this stuff sorta baffles me.

Must dig deeper. Thanks, Jack.

The neurosurgeon in the Larry King videos says the bluetooth headpiece has less power, so it's less likely to promote brain cancer. But I'm pretty sure he didn't use the word "safe."

But the headpieces tethered by wire work just fine, too. Less cool than their Star Trek brethren, but they won't result in a melon baller being used in your grey matter, either.

What's wrong with the Bluetooth? Is that hazardous too? I've been considering it because of the concerns about brain cancer.

Not allergic. If I was, I'd have been dead years ago, as I accidentally swallowed a bee that stung the inside of my throat on the way down to my stomach. But it made me sound like I was hitting puberty again, which is nice.

@ abunslife - really? I'll have to tell my wife.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. SUCKER!

(You aren't allergic to them are you? Because if you are, then I would feel really bad about laughing.)

You wouldn't catch me saying no to that cake, unless I was having a particularly good day of self-control.

My yummy dinners usually don't go over well either. And my son will not touch a pie. Astro pops on the other hand...

That cake looks great - especially the part on the side where the frosting is extra thick. I'll take that slice, please.

My husband is good in the kitchen but I couldn't have him cook every night. Too much red meat. And too many potatoes. And he makes a mean chili. What is it about guys and chili?

Oh, and you need to teach that boy a new word.

That cake looks better than any I've ever cooked. However, I'd kick your ass at brownies. Last night, my daughter and I (mostly my daughter; I helped with the oven) made some awesome dark chocolate brownies with peanuts and Reese's peanut butter cups baked right in. I'll send you one . . .
